Director of Marketing, Eschenbach Optik of America, Inc.

Timothy Gels joined Eschenbach Optik of America, Inc. in 1997 and is currently the Director of Marketing for the company. He is involved in both the strategic planning and tactical implementation of marketing initiatives for the company including advertising, communications, public relations, continuing education programs, trade shows, sales collateral development, website and digital and social media programs.

Prior to being the Director of Marketing, Tim was the Marketing Manager for the company and, before that, a Territory Manager calling on eye care and vision rehabilitation professionals in southern California, Arizona and New Mexico. Throughout his tenure at Eschenbach, Tim has consulted with dozens of low vision practices and provided training to numerous eye care and vision rehab professionals.  His previous work experience has been in sales, sales management and business development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Tim holds a bachelor of science degree in Biology and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame. In addition, he has completed the Medical Marketing Program at UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Management and the Digital Marketing & Social Media Strategy Program at NYU's Stern School of Business. He is also a past Chair of the Low Vision Division of The Vision Council, the industry association for optical product companies.
